A little about some of the people at Event Assured and our key business partners
Everyone at Event Assured is a key person in delivering service to our customers
 | Brian Kirsch BA FCII Managing Director Chartered Insurance Broker Brian has been an insurance broker since graduating from University of Nottingham in 1973 where he studied Industrial Economics, including one of the first degree level insurance courses. After 16 years in the London insurance market Brian started his own company in 1990. He has developed the range of Event Assured products, for which he is also an underwriter. He has been a member of the board of the event industry trade association Eventia (previously ITMA) since 2000, and is Chairman of the Regulation Committee. He currently represents Eventia on the Business Visits and Events Partnership (BVEP).When not working, Brian enjoys music and theatre, and has a curious loyalty to Watford Football Club! |  | Janet Kirsch BA – Company Secretary Janet is our Company Secretary. Her work covers accounts, office management, health and safety and personnel issues - almost everything except insurance and marketing. She enjoys reading, theatre, listening to music, and social events with friends and family. |  | Rob Bentley ACII – Director Chartered Insurance Broker Rob has been in insurance since 1981 including 14 years specialising in the events and media industries. He joined Event Assured in 1999 and was appointed a director in 2004. His key roles are in the underwriting and management of our delegated authorities, broking and client service. When not working Rob enjoys badminton and spending time with his family. He is an occasional supporter of Colchester FC, and is very good at plumbing! |  | Margaret Cave FCII – Claims Handler Chartered Insurance Broker Margaret first worked in the insurance industry in 1967. She has worked in both insurance companies and brokers in underwriting and claims. She took a career break to raise a family and returned to work as a claims negotiator with Sedgwick UK before joining us in 1996. Her key role is in handling claims in all areas of our business. When not working Margaret is a dance teacher, which she says is even harder work! |  | Amanda Bateman DipCII, MIRM– Senior Account Handler Amanda has worked in the insurance industry since 1984 and has experience in underwriting, broking and as a client when she was Insurance Officer for the Essex Police Authority. She joined us in 2004 and her key roles are in broking and client service. She is also now an underwriter on our event and travel insurance schemes. She has recently completed her exams and qualified as a Member of the Institute of Risk Management. When not working she is a keen supporter of Ipswich Town FC. |  | Ann Latchford DipCII – Account Handler Ann has worked for both large and small brokers since 1985, including specialisation in the events and media sectors. She joined us in 2005 and her key roles are in broking and client service, particularly in our liability and travel insurance schemes. She says that she “is pleased to have returned to an independent broker where client service and a friendly encouraging workplace matter, not ticking boxes for statistics!” When not working Ann enjoys microlighting, sailing, jam making, stick insects, fuchsia growing, travelling. She dislikes call centres (don’t we all?) | | | Beazley - leading underwriters Chris Rackliffe, Mark Symons, Christian Phillips and the team at Beazley are the leading underwriters of the Event Assured event insurance product range. They offer a unique combination of experience backed by one of the most successful syndicates in Lloyds. | | | | | | |
